Junior Hope Hodges, has been working very hard this week to enjoy a relaxing winter break. Hope has been studying all week for her midterms, mostly Chemistry and Spanish. She also also participates in Key Club and is part of the swim team. Although the swim season is over, she has been volunteering more for Key Club since it’s the holiday season. A memorable thing that happened last week was when Sunlake brought therapy dogs to classes to help students relax right before it got hectic with mid-terms coming up.
What stood out about school this week was how the teachers dressed up because winter break is coming up and they wanted to be festive. They also really pushed all of us students to do well on midterms. Hope is highly looking forward to winter break, since the last few weeks were filled with holiday shopping, studying for midterms, and finding time to hang out with friends. This week they have also announced the teachers who dressed up and matched the holiday themes best, which she thought was cute.
