December is the month most students spend getting ready for exams while also being excited about the upcoming winter break. One of these such students is sophomore Alexandria Schopke. During the week, Alexandria had been studying for her exams as well as having dance practice three times that week. While her week mainly consisted of school and dance her weekend was very fun and exciting. On Friday night Alexandria had gone to a Christmas parade in Dade City with her family and friends. When asked about her opinion of the parade she answered, “It was very colorful; I loved how it brought the community together to celebrate the upcoming holidays.” The next day for dance, Alexandria had a company rehearsal for their big showcase for friends and family coming up in January. Later that day she hung out with her friends and went thrifting at Plato’s Closet and Goodwill. Alexandria said, “The thrift trip was a success for me since I found some great new things that were cheap.” After their thrift trip, she and her friends had a sleepover where they watched movies and did some Christmas activities to get into the holiday spirit. While this time of the year can be stressful, people like Alexandria use their weekends to relax and get their mind off of all the stress.
