During summer break our Sunlake students always find ways to get outside and enjoy the sun before the busyness of the school year begins. Ava Lewis, a freshman at Sunlake High School, shared her summer experience enjoying an outdoor activity with her friends and sister. “Me and my friends and sister went to the pool a lot this summer. It was really fun,” she said. Going to the pool allowed them to do something outdoors while also avoiding the summer heat. “We decided to go to the pool because it was simple, but it was also refreshing because it’s really hot out in the summer,” Ava explained.
The pool days were held at a convenient and accessible location for the group. “It was at the community clubhouse, and usually, it was planned a day before,” Ava mentioned. This spontaneous yet consistent planning allowed Ava and her friends to make the most of their summer break, creating lasting memories while staying cool and refreshed. The community pool provided a perfect setting for relaxation and fun, making it a highlight of their summer activities.
