Even during summer break, students at Sunlake are always finding time to make a little bit of extra money. Senior Heidimar Rivera decided to apply for a job at Chick-fil-A before the break ended. She stated, “I’ve been working there for about a month,” and she seems to already be having a great time and is working hard. She explained that she enjoys working at Chick-fil-A because, “it keeps me busy and a lot of my friends happen to work with me so I get to see them often.” Having a job so close to home and school allows Heidimar to get many people visiting her at work. “One of my favorite memories is my parents and my nephew visiting me at work for the first time in the drive thru,” she stated. This new job has been super beneficial to Heidi during her time off school, and she plans to continue working there throughout the school year.
