Senior Jayda Thomas was more excited then ever to show off the Senior’s skit, which the whole grade united together to work so hard on. With this being their Senior year, every member gave 100% into every practice and dance routine, ensuring perfection on the day of the performance. Jayda loves, “being apart of school spirit,” which made skit the perfect activity for her. When going more in depth on the Sunlake tradition she stated, “skit is a way for all of the different grades to do something that is creative and fun… and allows students not to be bound to schoolwork all the time.” The thing she was most excited for others to witness from their skit was, “the dances and the different sets that we have for each scene,” knowing the audience would be amazed at what the Senior class was able to accomplish. Jayda spoke on how many new students joined the skit and caused the group dynamic to start off very chaotic, but as people settled everyone felt a sense of determination to make their Senior skit unforgettable. Every moment of learning and performing the routine was cherished by Jayda and the Seniors; they knew this would be their last skit and that they had to give it their all.
