With school spirit being an important aspect of any school community, Sunlake’s very own Hawkeye spirit club was the perfect student group to be advertised at the club fair. Luke Downey, Freshman; took time out of his lunch to inform other students about Hawkeye, as the club, “brings people together to hang out and have a good time with friends and allows people to make new ones while showing school spirit.” Luke’s tactics to convince others to join the club was, “sharing to them how how fun it can be to tailgate with your friends before a football game.” He appreciated the club fair as it gave students, “so many opportunities to do what they like with people who have similar interests.” Luke has thoroughly enjoyed being in the club because spirit, “keeps everyone connected and can be something to be proud of.” Luke overall had a great time informing others on Hawkeye, as he has gained so much joy from the club that he wants to spread to others. “I will continue to introduce people to Hawkeye because it is a great club and definitely worth joining,” said Luke as a summary of his club fair experience. Luke is ready to represent Hawkeye and school spirit during all his high school years to come.
