Noah Downey, Senior; made it onto the Homecoming court his senior year, and he was, “…honored to be voted on by our friends and peers here at Sunlake.” What added to his excitement was making it onto the court with one of his best friends, Lynn Raad. Noah and Lynn tried to be on Hoco court together their, “…sophomore year but neither of us made it,” which shows how they both have, “…grown together and had a positive effect on people to want to vote for us,” as they made it their senior year. For Noah, being on Homecoming court is a surreal experience, “Having the sash, boutonniere, fancy suit and awesome jeep ride around the track.” Moreover, he thoroughly enjoyed walking down the dance floor at the dance: it, “doesn’t feel real. Everyone’s phones are out and people are screaming for you as you walk down.” The court and the walk were full-circle moments for Noah, it showed that he was able reach out and interact with enough people throughout his high school experience who believed he deserved the opportunity to be on court, and that proved to him that being social able and spirited was not for nothing. The student body chose Noah to represent them on the Homecoming court, and he could not be more honored.
