On December 5th, 2024, Sunlake High School had a National Honor Society (NHS) meeting. A Junior named Anna Seidelman participated in the meeting. National Honor Society is a school organization that recognizes high school students for the academic achievement, leadership, character, and service. Anna explained what motivated her to join National Honor Society. She said, “I was really looking forward to joining National Honor Society, because of how well it looks on college resumes. The volunteer opportunities also interested me. I feel like it makes me be a more avid participant in my community. As I’ve been in the club, I definitely pushes me to really aim for good grades and try my hardest. It’s one of my motivators.” National Honor Society also does projects, the projects include making posters for events like toy drives, making cards for veterans, etc. You get to collaborate with a bunch of people to help make projects and work on your creative skill. Anna’s advice to someone aspiring to join the National Honor Society is, “To stay on top of your work and make sure to participate in volunteer projects, it’ll make bonding with your group and work so much fun and easier.” If your ever looking for a club that motivates you to stay on top of things, and make new friends, then National Honor Society is definitely a club you should join.
