The Yearbook Staff had a year of blood, sweat, and tears poured into creating the 2024-2025 school yearbook, and it was finally time for the books to be handed out to the Sunlake student body. The staff ran a tight-knit operation where students entered into the Yearbook room and claimed their yearbooks. Sophomore Yearbook staffer, Katie Krascka, helped in the distribution process, and she proclaimed that she enjoyed, “watching students get the yearbook that summarizes this school year of fond memories.” Katie got to watch students’ first reactions to the yearbook, she got to see the amazement in their faces as they turned over each page, and Katie exclaimed that it felt rewarding when people complimented the book that she had a hand in building. Additionally, Katie explained that the yearbook distribution process had its challenges; “Some people came into the yearbook room to claim a book that they hadn’t even ordered or paid for and others came in a just had no clue what to do.” This year was Katie’s first year as a staffer and she believes this process has prepared her for years to come; “The distribution process was hard, but now I will know how to handle giving out the yearbooks in my junior and senior years as a staffer.” “Out of all the different colored yearbooks this year, my favorite one is the blue, even though every design is amazing and special in their own way,” she added. Katie enjoyed her sophomore year as a staffer and she is very excited for the years she has to come as a part of the yearbook staff, she is ready and eager to make books that encapsulate the Sunlake student body and school as a whole.
