For Peyton Caffee, being a part of skit night wasn’t just about what was happening on stage, it was about the teamwork and friendship built behind the scenes. As a freshman, she jumped in to help whenever needed, from painting the backdrop to assisting with anything going on backstage. She especially enjoyed painting with her friends while watching the skit take shape, which gave her a chance to see the whole project come together from start to finish.
When asked if she would change anything about the experience, Peyton didn’t hesitate: “I wouldn’t change anything about the skit- it was funny.” She enjoyed the humor and the lighthearted atmosphere that kept everyone smiling and laughing. The dances in particular stood out to her. “The dances were cute, funny and enjoyable to watch,” she said, adding that absolute favorite moment was the dance battle. Watching her classmates put their energy and creativity into that performance was a highlight that made the whole project memorable.

Even though she admitted that the skit didn’t help her connect with new students, Peyton said it didn’t take away from the fun. “I still enjoyed being with my friends,” she explained enjoying the chance to spend time working together on something bigger than themselves. It was a reminder that sometimes, the best memories come from sharing experiences with people you are already close to.
Looking back, Peyton says without hesitation that she would help again. The experience gave her a chance to contribute creatively, laugh a lot, and support her classmates in a way that made her part of the action, even if she wasn’t on stage. For Peyton, her first high school skit was more than just a performance; it was a chance to make memories that will last her many years to come that she can look back on for many years to come.
