Inked (Prose)

Emelina Brown

The sister to the blank, terrifying depth of the unwritten is the already marked. The same enormity of white but filled with dark symbols that blend like a cloud of ash to create a most dangerous invitation. This piece of the unknown reaches out with speckled, ivory hands to draw in its next victim. The victim usually travels into the white galaxy of distinguished, ink-colored asteroids unwillingly, reeled in by a force like gravity: the memories of another world.
