JV Football October 13th

Sophomore Brock Smith says “When we first scored the touchdown I was thinking it’s gonna be a long game for the other team.”

On Thursday October 13th, Sunlake’s JV Football team played against Gulf High. It was a home game for the Seahawks and they took home a win, the score was: 21-12 . The first touchdown for the home team was scored by Dylan Pena, the second was scored by Brock Smith. Safe to say it was  definitely a good game for our JV team. JV’s current record stands at 3-1. Sophomore Brock Smith is a wide receiver for JV, he says, “I look forward to being able to celebrate with my teammates after the game. I enjoy being able to put on a show for the people watching the game.” Brock Smith is on both the JV and Varsity football team he says, “My relationship with the JV team is so much better then with the Varsity team and I think it’s the reason we’ve had such a good record unlike the Varsity team.” Brock has been playing football since he was 7 years old, I’ve always liked playing football ever since I was younger but high school is a little bit more competitive, so I like it a little more.”
