Seahawks Halloween

James Magos, Staffer

Last Monday was not just any Monday this school year, this Monday was also Halloween. Many students came to school in their costumes this year for Halloween. Freshman Eric Escebedo and senior Dilanys Ortiz Rosario cam into school with their costumes with spirit. Eric was wearing a scarecrow costume this Halloween, and said that, “I got the costume from Spirit Halloween.” He added by saying that “I picked that costume to be my costume because I really thought that the orange and brown looked beautiful together. And, scarecrows are cool.” Many people have seen or read the book, The Lorax, from Dr. Seuss. It is a classic story that everyone knows. I asked Dilanys what her costume was, “My costume was the Once-ler from the Lorax.” When I asked Dilanys where she got her costume from, she said, “I mostly bought my costume off Amazon.” I also asked her why she chose to be the Once-ler from the Lorax. She said that, “I chose to be the Once-ler from the Lorax because it is one of my favorite children movies that I have seen.” This was the first Halloween to take place during school since 2019, and the Sunlake Seahawks showed how much they missed it!
