On the first day of this school year, the seniors had a get-together to commemorate the start of their last year of high school, called Senior Sunrise. All the seniors met together at Sunlake’s football field to watch the sunrise, one of whom being senior, Melanie Rodriguez. She detailed the event saying, “Senior Sunrise was great! I enjoyed catching up with everyone, taking pictures, and seeing the sunrise. It was nice to have an event that focused on our class.” She then went on to note about how surreal it felt to finally be a senior as she said, “I can’t believe I’m graduating already. I remember my first day of ninth grade like it was yesterday.” Melanie’s overall thought of Senior Sunrise was that is was a nice and relaxing way for her to kick off her senior year of high school.
