Sophomore Zara Gonzalez was excited for her new year as a Seahawk. She finally felt like she had a hang of the Sunlake campus, people, and environment. During the first week of the year, Zara exclaimed that, “…as a freshman I was more nervous especially since I didn’t know my way around but as a sophomore it’s a lot easier and I’m not as intimidated by the upperclassman.” She then shared her feelings on her new classes. “My classes have gotten more challenging however it pushes me to want to become more successful compared to last year” she said. She stated that the first week set her year off on a good note, as it gave her a chance to learn the new schedule, prepare for her new classes, and reconnect with people she missed during summer. Overall, Zara highly enjoyed her first week as a sophomore. She looks forward to a great year with new and exciting things to come.

Hi, my name is Jack and I have been a part of Yearbook/Student Newspaper since my Sophomore year. This year I am an Associate Section Editor, I put stories into the finalized book. Being on this staff team has helped me meet new people and learn about different perspectives, and I am so thankful for everything it has given me. I am very excited for this new timeless book we are creating, and I'm so honored to capture all the different events throughout the year.
