Meet Nathaniel Peguero, a junior at Sunlake high school whose journey into the yearbook staff began by accident. He didn’t exactly choose to be in the yearbook, but he was eager to be a part of it once he found out he was in the class. He said he was nervous about writing, but accepted the challenge to be a yearbook staffer.
Growing up, Nathaniel has always had a major passion for photography and wanted to pursue a career for it in the future. He wishes to pursue his dreams of photographing sports events and weddings. “I’m hoping to take pictures of weddings and sports events,” Nathaniel says. He is excited to use his creativity for visual storytelling and being on the yearbook staff will help him achieve it. Nathaniel’s lifelong passion for photography has been a defining aspect of his journey. With dreams of pursuing a career in photography, he pictures himself capturing from thrilling sports events like the touchdown at a football game to the unforgettable time at a wedding. Being a member of the yearbook staff aligns perfectly with his passion, as it provides him with the opportunity to develop his visual storytelling skills and grow as a photographer.
He is determined to improve, knowing that it’s an essential part of the yearbook creation process. His journey in the yearbook staff is not just a happy accident; it’s a stepping stone toward his bright future in photography. “I can’t wait to see where it takes me.”
