Junior Skylar Tedora was ready to show the dance floor what she’s got during Homecoming 2023. She was just as excited as anyone else for the homecoming week festivities; the spirit days, powderpuff, skit and the football game. However, Skylar was looking forward to the Homecoming dance the most. When the day finally arrived, Skylar and her best friend, Lexi Tschoop, were chillin’ by the pool. Skylar explained that “…we went to the pool, hoping to get a little tan for the night. We also just thought it would be fun to go there and hang out.” After a relaxing time at the pool, they headed home to get ready together. They styled their hair, fixed up their makeup and put on their dresses. Skylar said, “Before homecoming I went to Long Lake to take pictures with my friends, because we were all dressed up and looked really pretty.”

When she got to the dance, Skylar waited in line and entered using her ticket. The dance floor was filled with movie poster photos representing the theme of the dance: “Lights, Camera, Action”. There were also two fun photo-ops in the corner of the room. The dance floor was slow moving at first, but as time went on, it became crowded with people having a great time. Skylar exclaimed that she “…had so much fun on the dance floor. Every one there was so outgoing. We were all just dancing, singing, and having a wonderful time.” There was also food and drinks in the cafeteria, available for when Skylar needed to take a break from partying on the dance floor. She thought “…the food was really good! I had so many cookies.” When she thinks about how much the fun she had at Homecoming, Skylar declared that it was “…a night I’ll never forget.”
