Mrs. Merle, a tenth grade English teacher at Sunlake, had a great and much needed winter break. She spent the majority of her winter break spending quality time with her family and loved ones. She really enjoyed taking a long break from work and getting to relax majority of the break. Mrs. Merle said, “My favorite part of break had to be not checking my emails at all.” She spent her New Year’s Eve chilling with her family at her house. Her 2024 new year’s resolution was to be more organized throughout the rest of the school year. Mrs. Merle is determined to stick to her new year’s resolution this year and stay organized for the remainder of the school year. To accomplish her resolution, she explained, “I’m going to start planning my quarters ahead and staying on top of all my grading.” So far Mrs. Merle’s 2024 is going really well but she still feels that 2023 went too soon. She is glad she came into the new year prepared with a plan on how she wants to start the new year’s off and can’t wait to put it into action.
