Junior Caymin Fox is heading back south after a trip to the slopes in North Carolina. This was Caymin’s first time in North Carolina and she went on a skiing trip with her best friend Alicia. Caymin stayed in a cabin in Boone, NC. Caymin said, “It was my first time skiing and I did pretty good for just learning how to.” Caymin said her skiing trip was the slopes of Sugar Mountain. Caymin was in North Carolina for 6 days and had “…3 full days of skiing.” Skiing can take a lot out of you, but Caymin said “…it honestly wasn’t too tiring.” The weather was nothing like Florida’s. Caymin said that it was cold and in the 30’s and 40’s. Caymin was born and raised in Florida but for six years she lived in New Jersey. Some might think you would be used to the cold, but Caymin said this was not the case. While taking a break from the slopes, Caymin would go hit the frozen lakes to go skate. Caymin said, “I knew how to skate, so it was really fun. I liked skiing more because I haven’t done it before, and it was really fun to learn. Once I got the hang of it I had so much fun.” Now that Caymin is back in Florida from her skiing vacation she’s “…happy to be back because I missed my friends and family, but I really enjoyed North Carolina. That I didn’t want to leave.”
