Cadyn Larscheid, a junior at Sunlake, had an eventful week. She took pictures for the Senior Panoramic for a yearbook assignment she had. She “…liked seeing people’s reactions when they saw the photos I was taking. When they enjoy the photos I take, I get a sense of validation as I know I’m getting better at the skill of photography.” She got to see all of Sunlake’s Class of 2024’s seniors in one place and got to photograph all of their genuine reactions of the event. She expressed how yearbook “…helps me meet more people and build my confidence as well as helping me grow my social skills in the process.” The photos were “…hard to get as they were action shots but I ended up getting great photos that captured all the senior’s faces.” Cadyn also had the opportunity to see the more experienced photographer take the actual Senior Panoramic picture. She stated, “It was very inspiring to watch the photographer taking the shot. His work ethic made me want to take photos like he did.” The assignment ended up as a success for Cadyn, achieving all the goals she wanted: getting better at photography, getting great shots, and meeting new people. All the successes from her week have made Cadyn more excited about future photography assignments.
