Chase Martin, junior, is an awesome center for Sunlake’s boys basketball team, and he loves the sport. Last Monday, Sunlake faced-off against Central Highschool for a hard-working and close game. Fortunately, Sunlake was able to hustle and take home the win, with a final score of 55-46! When asked about the game, Chase said, “I think we played good and I’m glad we won. I like the team and how we play overall.”

Chase has only been playing basketball for a year, and he was inspired to pick-up the sport after watching his favorite team, the 76ers. “I like Maxey and Jared McCain the most. I watch them play whenever I’m free.” Chase also decided to play for another reason. “I’m pretty tall so I figured basketball would be a good choice. I also love getting a dunk in front of everyone and being able to hear our wins on the announcements at school. I look forward to keep on winning.”

All in all, Chase is excited to continue to grow as a player for his school as the year progresses. He is very satisfied getting to play the sport he has always loved to watch.
