On Wednesday, Sunlake girl’s soccer played against River Ridge High School. The game ended in another successful win with a score of 3-0 for the Sunlake Seahawks. One of the team captains, senior, Katie Mackleer, said that she thinks it’s, “exciting and very good that we are going undefeated all season.” Katie says that the team is coming together as one, making the game more fun and exciting to both watch and participate in. Going into this game, Katie said she felt calm and had, “all the confidence in the world in our team. I knew we were gonna get the job done.” At the end of the game, everyone was excited for the team with the fact they were able to maintain their undefeated title. Everyone is excited about how far this team will go this season. When asked if she thinks the team will make it to states and possibly farther, Katie replied, “I have hopes in this team and hope to go as far as possible in the season especially, with this being my last season.” Girls soccer is a hard-working team with great chemistry that will hopefully lead them to states and farther this season.
