Powderpuff is an exciting event that unites girls from different grades in a flag football game, becoming a cherished tradition at Sunlake. Taylor Vanbrocklin’s interest in Powderpuff ignited due to wanting to make new friends! As the energy and enthusiasm made her eager to participate. Her main goal for Powderpuff is help everyone feel included and have fun! she says “Of course, everyone wanted to win but this fun night was meant for more than just the win or loss”. Believing the experience showcases athletic abilities while fostering teamwork among participants.
On the night of the Powderpuff game, her favorite part was learning the game was being able to take some of her knowledge and feedback she received into my real flag football games . The atmosphere, filled with cheers from friends and family, made her feel incredibly spirited. Practicing was also a highlight, with her favorite part being her making new friends and working with other freshmen. It was rewarding to develop new skills and understand flag football strategies while bonding with teammates.
