This year, junior volleyball standout Amelia Snider helped lead her team through one of their most memorable and successful seasons yet — one built on chemistry, resilience, and unshakable trust. For Amelia, the reason behind their success was simple: teamwork. “Our team stood out this year because of our chemistry and trust in each other,” she said. “Everyone played for the team, not for themselves.” That unity became the foundation for a season full of challenges, comebacks, and unforgettable victories.
One of Amelia’s favorite moments came during the regional championship game, a night packed with excitement, emotion, and electric energy from the crowd. “The energy, support, and excitement from the players and fans were unforgettable,” she said. “It felt like everything we worked for came together that night.” The win was especially meaningful because of who they beat — East Lake, the team that had taken the District title from them earlier in the season. “After a disappointing loss to East Lake for the District title, it felt amazing to beat them for the Regional title,” Amelia explained. “All of our late nights, difficult practices, and hard work finally paid off.”

The season wasn’t without its struggles. Between injuries and tough opponent matchups, the team had to make quick adjustments and adapt to new lineups. But instead of letting it hold them back, it brought them closer together. “It made us stronger because everyone learned how to adjust and support one another no matter what,” Amelia said.
When it comes to handling pressure, Amelia’s approach is all about focus and composure. “I stay focused on the next point instead of the score or the crowd,” she said. “I take a deep breath and play my game.” She also credits her teammates for keeping her motivated: “Seeing their effort and dedication every day pushed me to work harder.”
Balancing the demands of school and volleyball can be difficult, but Amelia has learned to manage it through discipline and communication. “I plan out my week, stay on top of assignments, and use any free time wisely,” she said. “It also helps to communicate with teachers and coaches when things get busy.”
To younger players, her advice is simple but powerful: “Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Everyone starts somewhere. Work hard, stay coachable, and focus on improving each day.”
With her leadership, positivity, and team-first mindset, Amelia Snider has proven herself to be a key part of her team’s success — and she’s already setting her sights on making next season even better.
