Senior Alexandria Schopke had a friendsgiving with her friends during Thanksgiving break. Friendsgiving is a time to come together, share a meal, and express gratitude, and Alexandria wanted to make sure the gathering was memorable for everyone. In preparation for the event, Alexandria spent time making cornbread.
After finishing her preparations and getting ready, Alexandria headed over to her friend’s house, where the Friendsgiving celebration was being hosted. As Alexandria’s friends slowly began to arrive, the house filled with laughter, conversation, and the smell of food. Once everyone had arrived, they all found their seats around the table, ready to enjoy the meal together.
Before eating, Alexandria and her friends took a moment to say a prayer, showing appreciation for the time they were able to spend together. After the prayer, they went around the table one by one, sharing what they were thankful for. Alexandria states, “We all shared why we were grateful for each other; it was such a heartfelt moment.” This moment allowed everyone to reflect and feel even more connected to one another.
After sharing their thoughts, the group enjoyed a delicious meal filled with a variety of foods that everyone had brought. Once they finished eating, Alexandria and her friends changed into more comfortable clothes and headed outside to play a fun game of kickball. They played kickball for hours and created even more memorable moments for them to carry forever.
Later that night, everyone returned inside and settled in for a sleepover. They spent the rest of the night talking, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company. Alexandria and her friends ended the night feeling thankful, happy, and grateful for the strong friendships they shared, making their Friendsgiving a meaningful and unforgettable experience.
