Dimitri​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Thomas, a sophomore on the Sunlake basketball team, has already attracted a lot of attention because of his dedication to the game. The 10th grader, Dimitri, has challenged himself to compete at a high level, and at the same time, he has developed as a player and a teammate throughout the season. It is impossible to doubt his love of the game as he is always full of energy and concentration not only in the practice sessions, but also in the games and other activities of the team.

During a major travel experience, Dimitri had one of the most unforgettable moments of the current season. “My highlight of the basketball season so far is definitely when we went to Hoop Fest and saw people from different states,” he highlighted. Playing against teams from outside the local area became the challenge and the opportunity at the same time for Dimitri and his teammates. They could contrast their skills with the new competition and get accustomed to different styles of play. Such experiences have not only broadened his view of the game but also have pushed him to get better.

Dimitri has also noticed a profound change of team spirit throughout the season. “The team’s chemistry has improved because everyone is getting closer to each other,” he pointed out.
