Pedro Bonilla, a freshman at Sunlake, had a pretty chill and fun week as he approached the end of the first semester of school. “I’d say I was mostly just chillin’ and hanging out with my friends,” Pedro said. “We rode bikes around the neighborhood, played some basketball, and just had fun.” Pedro spent much of his week balancing schoolwork with social time, making sure to squeeze in moments of relaxation between assignments.
In school, Pedro said he was “learning a lot, but there was also a ton of homework.” From English essays to math problem sets, he tried to keep up with all of it while still having time for friends and activities. “Some days it felt like homework was never-ending,” he admitted. “But I managed to get it all done, even if it took a little late-night effort.”
The highlight of Pedro’s week, he explained, was definitely the time he spent outdoors with friends. “Riding bikes with the guys was the best part,” he said. “We even stopped by the park for a while—it was just a good break from everything else.”
However, the week wasn’t without its challenges. Pedro noted that the worst part of his week was all the homework he had to tackle. “It felt like every class piled on assignments at once,” he said. Despite this, he reflected on what he might do differently. “Next week, I’d probably try to study a little more and practice baseball a bit more before games,” he said.
When asked about preparation, Pedro admitted he didn’t really have a plan. “I didn’t really prepare for the week—I was just excited,” he said.
Pedro Bonilla, a ninth-grade freshman, wrapped up his week with a mix of productivity and fun. “It was a good week overall,” he said. “Just trying to balance school and fun, you know?”
