As the girls Basketball season comes to an end, The team has been full of hard work and dedication. They reflected on the challenges and growth they experienced throughout the year. Sophomore Hannah Stambaugh; follows a routine that helps her stay focused and ready to compete. “I eat three eggs and a piece of toast a couple hours before the game,” she explains. “Then I listen to music to help me lock in and go over our plays so I remember my role.” She also focuses on staying positive and writes down three goals she hopes to accomplish during the game. The final game of the season brought mixed emotions. “I was nervous because it was our last game this season and I wanted to make it count,” Hannah said. “But at the same time I was confident in my team.” One of the most exciting moments of the game came when the teams went into overtime. “The adrenaline was high, but we had to stay focused,” she said.

Even though the game ended in a loss, the team continued to compete until the end. She said the biggest challenge during the game was the loss itself, which she felt was partly due to a lack of defense. Throughout the game, she stayed focused by keeping her composure and continuing to play her role. The team’s strategy was simple, run their plays and play strong defense. Beyond the game itself, basketball has taught her important lessons about growth and perseverance. She explained that improvement often comes from difficult moments rather than easy ones. The sport has taught her to stay disciplined, keep pushing forward, and believe in herself even when things do not go perfectly.
