Sunlake sophomore Samantha Mungai celebrated her Friendsgiving a few days before Thanksgiving day. She celebrated Friendsgiving alongside seven of her friends. Her and her friends each brought a dish, and had a fun time sharing those foods and spending further time with each other afterwards. Samantha brought a South Asian dish named Samosas. She describes samosas as “…a pastry that is kind of like a meat pie.” Samantha’s favorite dish of the night was the mac and cheese that her friend, sophomore Valentina Donado, brought.
Outside of all of the delicious food that Samantha and her friends ate, they had an adventurous time away from the dinner table. They all participated in a fake football game, played just dance, and did karaoke. She also had an experience like none other, and that her and her friends ended up rescuing a lost dog on that same night. Her and her friends also spent the night taking many photos of their experiences, first of the delicious food, to the fun karaoke, and all the way to the snap in their football games. When asked about her favorite events from that night, Samantha responded, “The football game for sure, and the random dog that we rescued!” It’s safe to say that Samantha and her friends had an eventful and very fun Friendsgiving!
