Semester 1 was a meaningful period of growth, connection, and memorable experiences for Remi Rovi Garcia; Freshman. His favorite class this semester was 6th‑period Chemistry, a place where learning felt enjoyable and the environment made a real difference. With a fun, engaging teacher and a group of close friends, the class became a space where assignments felt manageable and collaboration came naturally. The mix of good energy, supportive classmates, and a teacher who kept things interesting made Chemistry the highlight of his day.
One of the biggest changes Remi noticed in himself this semester was his improvement in responsibility and time management. At the start of the year, procrastination was a challenge, but he made a conscious effort to complete assignments earlier and avoid falling behind. This shift helped him stay organized, reduce stress, and maintain strong grades throughout the semester. Learning to manage his workload more effectively became one of his proudest accomplishments.
Even with this progress, tests remained the toughest part of Semester 1. “Am not the best test taker but I would like to change that this year”, low scores sometimes affected his grades more than he wanted. Still, he continued to prepare as best he could and put in the effort to improve. If he could redo one thing, he would study harder for his tests to feel more confident and avoid the frustration of seeing strong grades dip.
His favorite memory of the semester came from Chemistry as well: celebrating Mole Day with his class. Getting to relax, enjoy mole‑themed snacks, and spend time with friends made the day stand out as a fun break from routine.
Outside the classroom, Trick‑or‑Treat Around the Track was the school event that left the biggest impression. Seeing clubs come together to pass out candy and watching kids enjoy the experience made the event especially meaningful for him.
