Senior Lukas Johnsen’s Winter break a time for him to relax reflect and enjoy time with friends and family. His winter break was filled with family, friends, and memorable moments.
“I had a great time celebrating the holidays with my family and friends over the break.” Lukas said. Like all of his peers, Lukas used the time to unwind and hang with his loved ones after a grueling first semester of school. In perfect Floridian holiday fashion, Lukas decided to celebrate the holiday break by going to Disney Springs with his girlfriend, Elizabeth Rose, and her friends, where they embraced the festive vibe and went to every store at the springs!
“I went with my girlfriend and her friends, we checked out every single store, took photos at the bridge, watched the sunset and ended the night at rainforest cafe,” Lukas said. This wonderful trip reflected what winter break should be: fun, family, friends, and making memories over the holiday season.
Lukas had an overall positive experience on his winter break, and what it represented. “It feels crazy that this is finally the last semester of high school for me, after everything that has happened throughout high school,” Lukas said. With graduation swiftly approaching, winter break has served as both a pause and a reminder not to take things for granted. As seniors return to Sunlake for their last semester of high school, stories like Lukas’ highlight how meaningful moments, good and bad, can shape memories.
