To be sophomore Autumn Spillane for a week is what it means to have fun. From watching movies to the Super Bowl, Autumn wastes no time in going all out to maximize the amount of excitement in everything she does. To start her week, Autumn kept it calm and spent some time with her family. Tuesday, she went to her sister’s softball practice, cheering her on like the great older sister she is. On Wednesday, Autumn spent some time in the barn with her favorite horse, Charlie. Outside of school, Autumn participates in horseback riding. Doing it for most of her life, Autumn has so much love in her heart for Charlie and the other horses she’s been with over time. She expressed her excitement about a clinic that she had attended on Saturday, saying it was “really special because the trainer who I rode for came all the way from Louisiana to teach us.” It’s not only love that Autumn has for the sport- it’s dedication and determination to be the best she can be. Wednesday and Thursday must have been twin days because Autumn spent some more time with Charlie.
Friday, Autumn decided to ramp it up by watching some Tangled and Descendants with her sister, singing the songs and not caring if they were on pitch or not. Then Sunday finally came. It was the big day of the Super Bowl. The Seahawks versus the Patriots. Bad Bunny’s halftime performance. For the game, Autumn and her dad decided to prepare a variety of food to have. She had been rooting for the Seahawks, so she must be relieved that they won. When the halftime performance came on, her jaw had dropped. Coming to school the next day, the performance was all she could talk about. “It was so good!” When asked about what she would do differently about her week, she said that she “would probably hang out with my sister more.” From horseback riding to intense card games to the Super Bowl, Autumn’s week couldn’t have been more exciting.
