On October seventeenth, the class of 2026 had their last home football game. A senior, Eric Travis got to talk about his experience and his unforgettable last home game. “My last game felt unreal, I really couldn’t imagine it was really over.” Stated Eric when he was asked how did it feel to play his last home game as a senior. He really got to reflect over his football years, and just talk about it. He got to talk about how he loved causing problems with his boys on and off the field, “that is one of my best memories that stand out to me throughout my time on the team,” he said. We do learn that his dad has been one of his biggest supporters throughout the football journey, his dad definitely supported Eric while he played through his injury, which was his most challenging part of his high school football journey. One lesson he learned throughout the years was that, “..hard work can never be matched.” Which means hard work can beat talent when talent doesn’t work hard. One of the coaches that impacted him the most was Coach Polaski, so a huge shoutout to that coach! After High school Eric plans on attending University of Central Florida, and become a firefighter. He hopes that he will be remembered as funny by his teammates and coaches, and his advice to the younger players on the team is, “..beat Lando.” He’s happy with all the connections he’s made, and how the team became close like brothers. Other than that go seahawks!
