The yearly club fair brought students together with excitement and school spirit. Junior Meiqi Yang, at sunlake, was one of the students attending. She is the president of the Pre Health club, who came to represent her club and to explore new opportunities. “I was interested in coming to the club fair because I’m the president of the Pre-Health Club, and I wanted to represent our club and help students who are interested in medical careers,” she explained. She also shared that she wanted to check out other clubs “to see what opportunities and activities they offer.” As she walked from table to table, a few clubs immediately stood out. “HOSA really caught my attention because it focuses on developing future health leaders and competing in health-related events, which is something I’m passionate about,” she said. She also mentioned how FBLA sparked her interest. “FBLA offers opportunities for competition, and being part of it would allow me to learn more about management and leadership skills.” For her, joining different clubs is a chance to grow. “It will help me strengthen my communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.” What made the day meaningful wasn’t just the clubs themselves, but the atmosphere. “The best part about today’s fair is seeing students come together with so much energy, creativity, and school spirit,” she shared with excitement. She loved seeing students talk about their clubs and the sense of community around each table
Being part of a club means more than signing up. “Joining a club makes me feel more connected because it gives me something meaningful beyond just schoolwork,” she reflected. As a leader, she values creating a place where everyone feels included. What surprised her most this year was the turnout. “I was surprised to see how many clubs came and how many new clubs started this year,” she said. To her, it shows how passionate students are about getting involved and making a difference.
